EXPERIENCED
Mrs. Gilmore is Of Counsel and serves as a criminal defense lawyer with Barnett Howard & Williams PLLC. Ashley came to BHW from the Tarrant County District Attorney’s Office, where she gained criminal trial experience as a felony and misdemeanor prosecutor. During her time as a prosecutor, Mrs. Gilmore tried a variety a criminal cases, including DWI, theft crimes, drug crimes, and assaultive offenses. Ashley has considerable experience with Tarrant County juries, spending several months as a grand jury attorney, presenting cases each week to a Tarrant County grand jury. Ashley’s familiarity with Tarrant County is a great asset for her clients.

Mrs. Gilmore graduated from Stanford University in Palo Alto, California and spent time working in the technology industry of Silicon Valley before attending law school at the James E. Rogers College of Law at The University of Arizona. There she obtained a Juris Doctor degree and served as the President of the Law Women’s Association. After law school, Mrs. Gilmore served in the public sector as an Assistant District Attorney with the Tarrant County District Attorney’s Office. Ashley knows how to use technology to present effective cases to judges and juries.

Ashley Gilmore was born and raised in Fort Worth. Ashley grew up on Lake Worth, and enjoys spending time on the water with her family. She looks forward to teaching her little ones how to water ski and sail. Ashley enjoys reading and interior design and serving with the Make-A-Wish Foundation as a Wish Granter. She and her family attend Christ Chapel Bible Church in Fort Worth.
