What are the Visiting Hours and Visitation Rules at the Grand Prairie City Jail?

While the Grand Prairie Detention Facility is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, the visiting hours at the Jail are limited:

  • Visitation hours are Sunday from 2pm – 4pm;
  • Visitors must be at least 18 years old and bring a valid driver’s license or identification;
  • Visitation is limited to 10-15 minutes and a maximum of 2 visitors;
  • Visitors must be dressed appropriately and not have any active warrants.

Can an Inmate Make a Telephone Call?

According to the Grand Prairie City Jail website, inmates are given the opportunity to make one free phone call during the booking process and then unlimited phone calls once the booking process is complete.
