EXPERIENCED

Brandon Barnett is a Fort Worth criminal and injury attorney and founding partner of Barnett Howard & Williams PLLC. Prior to starting the law firm, he served for six years as an active-duty U.S. Marine judge advocate. As a Marine, he served as a criminal trial lawyer, handling a broad range of cases involving assault, drug offenses, fraud, larceny, possession of child pornography, sexual assault, rape, and more. Mr. Barnett faithfully served his country and was deployed to Iraq where he served with the Third Marine Aircraft Wing as the Deputy Staff Judge Advocate. Mr. Barnett is now exclusively focused on representing individuals in the Fort Worth and surrounding areas in criminal and personal injury cases. He has handled over a thousand cases from start to finish and enjoys a record of proven success for his clients.  Mr. Barnett continues to serve as a Lieutenant Colonel in the Marine Corps Reserve and an adjunct law professor at Texas A&M School of Law in Fort Worth.

Mr. Barnett is first and foremost a trial lawyer. He enjoys litigation and is an effective advocate in the courtroom. Early in his Marine Corps career, Mr. Barnett established himself as one of the most talented young trial lawyers in the Corps, and was designated as a 4409 – Master of Criminal Laws. Mr. Barnett holds a Master of Laws degree (LL.M.) in Litigation from The George Washington University Law School in Washington, DC and is recognized as one of the Top 100 Trial Lawyers and Top 40 Under 40 by the National Trial Lawyers Association (2012, 2013). He has been named a Top Attorney for Fort Worth, Texas (2014 – 2021 – Fort Worth Magazine) and a Texas Super Lawyer (2015, 2016, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021 – Thomson Reuters).  His client reviews speak to his solid reputation as a Fort Worth criminal defense attorney.

GROUNDED

Mr. Barnett was born and raised in Arlington, TX. He loves all things Texas and is a lifelong fan of the Texas Rangers and the Dallas Cowboys. He has written two childrens books about the Marine Corps. His hobbies include pretending to be a monster while chasing his high-spirited children around the house, going to Texas Tech sporting events, running, golf, hunting, and reading. Mr. Barnett and his family attend Countryside Bible Church in Southlake, Texas.
